History
The Prime Rib of Washington DC opened its doors on July 2, 1976.
We are located in the heart of the Nations Capital on K street
between 20th and 21st Streets just minutes away from most major
hotels and downtown attractions. We are only 5 minutes from
both the Kennedy Center and National Theatre.
Hours of Operation
We are open for lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30 AM until
3:00 PM. The Bar remains open throughout the day. Dinner is
served from 5:00 PM to11:00 PM Monday through Thursday and until
11:30 PM on Fridays and Saturdays.

months ahead and in general it is wise to book at least a few
days in advance.
Dress Code
We require jacket and tie. If you are traveling and without
jacket and tie, we always keep a number of house blazers and
ties on hand.
Music
During lunch, we have our pianist at the baby grand. In the
evening we have a pianist and a bass player. The music starts
at 7:30 PM each evening and can be enjoyed either at the Bar
or in the dining room. The restaurant has excellent acoustics
so you may conduct conversation while listening to music.
Parking
In the evening, we offer complimentary valet parking after 5:00
PM. Pull up in front of the canopy and our valets will take
your car. At lunch, there are parking garages on every corner
around us, and one directly across the street.
Directions
We are located on K street which is a primary downtown business
artery, one block east of Washington Circle on the south side
of the street. We are between 20th and 21st streets and easily
accessible from any point in DC, Maryland or Virginia. We

Private Rooms
We have a semi-private area in the main room that can accommodate
up to 20 persons. There are also quieter corners of both the
main and upper rooms that can accommodate 10-20 persons. If
you have a larger group please call our manager to see how we
may accommodate you.

We accept American Express, VISA, MasterCard, and Diners Club
Smoking / Nonsmoking Areas
Both smoking and nonsmoking areas are available.
